BizTalk Server 2010 Now Available

Posted: October 2, 2010  |  Categories: BizTalk Uncategorized

As most of you already know, BizTalk Server 2010 has been released. The Microsoft BizTalk Server page has a lot of details on what is new in this release and I have released a few technical blog posts on it.

Besides the platform alignment to Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2, and all the new features, the Developer edition is now free. This means your developers don’t need Visual Studio Premium or Visual Studio Ultimate subscriptions to develop for BizTalk Server: a Visual Studio Professional subscription would be enough. In fact, the Developer edition can be downloaded directly from the Microsoft download site.

1st of October 2010 marks the date when BizTalk Server is available for download from MSDN, Technet and Volume License sites:

If you live in New Zealand or Australia make sure to register for BizTalk 2010 Hands On Days for a full day’s worth of BizTalk 2010 presentations and labs covering all the new features, led by BizTalk Server MVPs who have hands on experience with the new release (including yours truly).
